The Cost Of Doing Business, Something Has to Give

The cost of doing business with social services has increased the number of government employees from 46 in 1918 to 108 in 2022. That is a 235% increase. This increase has resulted in fewer financial resources and services going to the people who need it most. One can bet that the government of Denmark has not increased its allotment of funds to match the cost of government to self-govern in the last four years.

"The then outgoing director of Children and Family in Sermersooq Municipality, Martha Lund Olsen, who believes that the money has been spent on employees in the agency rather than on the children who need the help the most."

"If you thought that the help from the Ministry of Social Affairs went to the most vulnerable children and their families, you are wrong, the vast majority of the help has gone to building up the National Board of Social Services with 60-80 employees and paying Danish municipalities to provide 4th social workers to remedy municipal case management," was the powerful criticism from the former minister for the area."

So, the cost of doing business has gone up for the people of Greenland and the people of Denmark with less services being delivered to the People of Greenland. There cannot be a deliverance of services to government employees that overrides and is above the government of services for the people.

At some point, something will have to give. The continuous flow of money to Greenland cannot be sustained forever. With the cost of self-governing increasing 235% in 4 years with social services, will not be tolerated on the backs of the people of Denmark. As a few of you have stated at some point common sense will rise to the surface, the question is will be if it is in this century.
