We also have some idea of large storage based on the projections of Snowy 2.0 and the Tassie Big Battery. What we don't have is the price of new coal in Australia. Even the Minerals Councils own study couldn't price it accurately. So, all those posters that are claiming new coal is cheaper are full of rubbish. Not one poster has posted any pricing at all for new coal. And guess what ? Any new coal requires subsidies. Fancy that ? An industry that is 100 years old still needs subsidies to compete ! At the same time that subsidies for renewables are being wound down. So, fossil promoters, post the pricing for new coal.

"So, all those posters that are claiming new coal is cheaper are full of rubbish. " As are those claiming renewables are cheaper for exactly the same reason. I don't believe a new fossil power station could cost more than a heap of wind and solar farms plus snowy hydro AND some fossil backup for when they all fail.
