Sorry but the wholesale price these days makes up about 27% of the total price to the consumer!
So say the wholesale figure went down 10% but the other 73% of the consumer charge goes up 10%
then the overall price to the consumer continues to increase.
Check the latest press clippings from SA and you will see increasing consumer prices!
Increasing consumer power prices feed back into the inflation number as everyone knows.
