    Nevertheless the reality is that renewables produce cheaper electricity . That is a fact .

    You may have noticed that earlier in this thread your denier mate , who has now gone missing, posted that power prices in Victoria went up 43% and yet power in SA only went up 9% in the second quarter .

    "Low wind speeds and reduced rainfall in the southern NEM increased reliance on gas-fired generation and
    contributed to year-on-year increases in wholesale electricity prices in South Australia (up 9% to $135/MWh),
    Tasmania (up 104% to $131MWh) and Victoria (up 43% to $127/MWh)."

    Hasn't Victoria got a whole bunch of coal fired generation and SA has got none ?

    So why did the power price go up so much in coal country and didn't go up anywhere near as much in renewable dominated SA ?
