Following from SugeKnight's well presented rebuttal...
My rant starts now...
I have noticed for years that there is an undeniable pattern of dishonourable postings amongst some trolls who cherry pick quotes that fit their HC agenda. Not just on LTR threads, but other threads as well. Hence, I have long since stopped reading their misleading posts, much less responding.
In the courts, every judge and litigation lawyer knows that for every professional's subjective point of view given, they can alway call up another equally qualified professional to dismantle the first professional's argument.
In the medical field, a similar process occurs. For this reason, we sought a second, third, or even fourth, opinion from the relevant specialists.
We see the same subjectivity in share brokers' wide range of price targets for every quoted share, in the reputable financial advisors' analyses of budgets and cashflows, in commodity price forecasts, and in anything to do with trying to grasp what the future may bring.
That's because no one can know the future.
The moment a professional claims an ability to know, that person has lost professional credibility.
A really telling indicator of dishonour is that when the trolls are presented with the opposite set of arguments from professionals in the field, the trolls quickly reply that they are only highlighting some factoids; they didn't create those factoids. Ergo, so don't blame them (the trolls), blame the professionals they cherry picked to quote.
In the circle of high quality courteous debates, that is considered intellectual dishonesty.
In the field of ethics and morality, that is considered deliberate intent to deceive.
There is no respect given for others' freedom of personal choice and exercise of self-determination. There is only negativity for the sake of it.
In truth, not everything in life need to be measured by the making of a couple of bucks. Most people have dignity.
Seems that the insatiable desire to undermine the financial decisions of other posters suggests an emptiness in the soul that cannot be filled.
Say it once. Fine. Discuss it. Fine.
Keep labouring at it, and it gets repetitious and boring. People stop paying attention. They stop reading.
The trolls doth protest too much. Seriously.
My rant ends here.
