You obviously have not heard of Long/Short positions, these instos can play both fronts. In short term, it favours shorts so they short, they reserve their view on the longer term as there is always scope to recover because everyone knows EVs will become mainstay in the long run.
It does dovetail into my view of short to medium term winter hibernation before longer term recovery.
