That said, I am amazed at the volume of material produced by people who appear to have (literally) no idea what they are talking about. If you take one thing away from this, avoid charlatans and people who talk in sciency sounding words. You'll be happier and the rest of us can get back to life faster.

Vaccination provides the best hope out of the mess the world is currently in. The current crop of vaccines isn't perfect - but they make a genuine difference.

I disagree with your assertion that knowledge can not be attained outside of a university course. Degrees are largely based on reading research and assimilating information. Why is reading scientific papers written by specialists in the field of medicine, virology, epidemiology and so forth not consistent with "actual research"?
