How many people were talking in advance about the Crash of 2008? Hardly anyone!
Today so many investors and commentators are discussing the possibility of the next leg down in September and October this year. They talk about the 50% rise in the Dow as if a serious decline MUST now happen.
Obviously imo they have been scarred by what happened around the same time last year and so a year on expect a repeat.
So as far as I am concerned the odds are that the Dow will not crash or suffer a substantial decline in September and October this year.
Popular opinion is usually wrong. Now if many investors and commentators were expecting a sharp rise in the stock market and were piling in to make the easy money, then we could expect a substantial Dow decline in September and October this year.
Why, I even know someone who has panicked out of shares in advance of the expected Crash!
