Nickel is not considered bad business by those who bought BHP's Ravensthorpe nickel assets. Ravy is laterite nickel, with low grades, and pressure acid leaching, which sounds expensive. Sulfide ores only need a flotation process, think swimming pool and air compressors. Contained in the same sulfide ores are the Platinum Group Metals too, and Cobalt.
With 35+ Km of komatiite barely explored, and Nepean not drilled at depth, FML look likely to have considerable nickel potential. Most of the historic nickel mines were discovered from surface indications. Nepean was a blind discovery. How many blind discoveries of nickel await Focus' exploration?
Most of Grand Dad's gold mines were also found following surface indications too, so how many blind Au discoveries await?
