Well said Iron Mike. I've watched a few documentaries on "honour killings" in Britain and it is disgusting. One of them, the brother tried to kill the sister, but failed and after running away, she came home to the family and basically knew she was returning to die, which she did.

Another, a girl was getting beaten for befriending westerners at school. The parents, fed up, drugged her and sent her to Pakistan to be married off. It didn't work out when she tried to commit suicide and was returned home. Her father strangled her to death, cut her up and dumped her in a bushland 100km away.

British police have often been criticise for their reluctance to get involved with Muslim matters for fear of being labelled racist. It has been reported that honour killings are a regular occurrance because families often don't report their missing child, since they were involved in the killing.

It's tragic that a mother and father can think so little of their daughter, but it is pretty much in line with how they think of women in general. And what is frustrating is young girls grow up in a western culture but are "encouraged" not to embrace that culture ie no friends and DEFINITELY no boyfriends.
