I can't see how it has anything to do with politics.
More to do with unseen/unknown potential flaws in software that promotes itself as infallible. And when it is found to be fallible, the excuses will of course flood the internet while doind untold and unimagined chaos.
I hope they sink into oblivion and are not ever allowed anywhere near cyber space again.
