I almost never use Ichimoku kinko hyo charting. I have used Metastock EOD for the last 15 years and think it is a very good charting platform, the best for retail investors, in my opinion. There are many free additions by way of indicators on the net to choose from and add to it. It is a little expensive, especially the data download yearly subscription, but one's profits amply covers one's costs.
