Thank you for your chart, Dribs, I appreciate it. I have tried to reproduce it, except that I am using an arithmetical chart. If I am correct, yours is a semi-log chart. Also, I have included a RISK ON RISK OFF indicator (dotted lines) and LT buy arrows (blue) and a LT sell arrow (red).
When the SP is firmly seated on the R-on-R-off indicator, it's a reliable LT buy indication (blue arrow). Conversely, when the SP fails to do so, such as at the lower high of 320.42 back in Nov. 2020, it is a reliable LT sell indication. At the moment, there is no R-on-R-off LT buy indication since there is no R-on-R-off indicator (no dotted line where the ? is) on which the SP can settle on before one can be sure there is a reliable long-term buy indication/entry.
