Alternatively, the line of fit has changed since 2017 representing a positive sentiment on CSL’s return on equity, and you’re about to join the historic thousands of people that say something like your statement days before they missed out on the buying opportunity, only to come back in a few years and make the same mistakes. Your money, your call. But boy, are these grapes sweet right now. In a week or two, perhaps thousands of investors are going to claim how sour they would have been anyway... or regret missing an entry point.

My biggest regret with CSL has been only buying half of the amount I wanted back in 2017 where I averaged 500 shares at $104. We were in the UK on holiday when the missus kept telling me to stop wasting time accessing the Australian market and focus on enjoying the holiday. Missed out on the lowest dip to $92 (which I was planning to accumulate the remaining 500 shares at another ~$40K-$50K or so. Regretted missing that ever since and her eyes roll everytime I bring it up.

I hate diluting my gains, as it doesn’t look as pretty on paper. But today I dipped into savings (as I am at my limit with money locked in elsewhere) to buy another measly 100 shares at $250, bringing my average to $128. If as you say it drops to $200, I will buy another similar parcel at $225 and at $200, in line with Warren Buffet’s philosophy. This way, I don’t miss out, but as someone said on the board here previously, bargain hunting in this stock is usually limited to very short periods, and I don’t want to miss out. DYOR.
