one report I saw, suggested that there are some very bad problems due to in-breeding in much of the a rab world.
I seems that there is a strong preference to marry close cousins and other close relatives etc and the women often have very little choice in the matter.
Then of course a daily schedule of tried and true religeous brain-washing, hate-training, wacky conspiracy theories, strong victim mentality and a helplessness of situation in many of their backward and degenerating societies does not help either.
