    in genesis Noah got himself drunk and naked. His son Ham mocked his father's shame but the other two sons did not laugh but rather covered their father and did not look upon his nakedness.

    Bible scholars look at this as a metaphor. Noah represents the sinful nature of man and Ham represents Satan the accuser who continually points to the sinful nature of man. The other two sons represent Christ who came not to accuse but to provide a covering for the sins of man. Another side interpretation is that when Satan fell from heaven he took one third of the angels with him. This is represented by the fact that one of Noah's three sons mocked his fathers shame. After this incident the descendants of Ham were curse all through the bible.

    Anyway, that's the theory. According to theologians there are archetypes all through the bible. This is how they believe it works.
