Interesting and thought provoking contribution as usual ctindale and I tend to agree with your arguments regarding inflation. But not with those involving debt. Debt crises are a periodic feature of capitalism, and have never caused its collapse, and never will, imo. For what is destroyed in these crises? Debt. Excessive, speculative driven debt. Result? Some rich people lose some of their paper wealth.
The economy has always recovered from debt crises, and it always will.
Until, that is, it hits the wall hit by all economic systems since time immemorial. Resource depletion. Because of the global reach of this economic system and its adaptiveness, that is not likely to happen for a very long time.
