I like all the drought proofing stuff water pipelines etc but the rest well the rate of population growth into Australia wont make it a rich country for all that's for sure .
It will be a lot healthier and more productive with the capacity of 2 Murray Darling Basins. There will be double the water in the Murray Darlin Basin to grow our agriculture. That is enough to feed at least 200 million people.
We have managed quite well to bring ourselves out of slums and bad equality why would you want take us back to that ? If all this bullshit was to come true wouldn't we need our own people be looked after first? A hell of a lot of us live on the coast that's for sure
And if Climate change comes true as climate scientists are saying then what happens if we don’t drought-proof the country?
I don't see any sea walls going up anywhere or any moves for this so called rise we keep hearing about . Sinking seems more of a problem with the sea levels around the world for populated areas rather than rises .
Have a read of some decent scientific articles by climate scientists and you might see more clearly.
Why would Bangladesh be building coal fired power stations if it was such a worry for them even? Want bring that environment here ?
