    The biggest surprise was the comments around the manganese weight/percent in batteries. I was under the impression that 80-90kg was the combined weight of lithium, Mn, Cobalt and Nickel. If you have a high Mn battery, yes you would be getting close to 90kg. If Mn is paired with Cobalt then you should be getting broadly similar weights for Manganese and Cobalt within a battery.

    The following was a google answer (which isn't aways right) around Cobalt in a battery and for a NCM532 variant and also references other metals.

    A battery type like NCM811 will be about a third of this as the Mn component is pushed from 3 down to 1 as Nickel is increased.

    That noted, other commentators are also noting a potential supply shortage of HP Manganese.
