If I had to guess E25 were working on there preferred southeast Asian site and JB got a call enquiring about E25's potential HP Mn plant and whether it would have the capacity to supply a Kwinana battery facility. He of course replied, that's certainly possible as we are still considering multiple possible sites. He pulls up the scoping document and makes a few edits. On the original timeline it was already late so there wasn't time to rework it all for an Australian based site. It therefore is released with a fairly firm discussion around southeast Asian and some confusing "Location" element included that makes it unclear whether that is actually what is planned.
If you were to build the plant in Kwinana, you wouldn't be shipping out of Port Hedland, because at 50kt you it could be a same-town supply line. (Ore transport down to Perth would be an issue but the HP margins would more than cover this cost). Could that be the "alternative export ports"? Is the other areas within Western Australia actually Kwinana (rather than Port Hedland)?
