Most of Ukraine's manganese ore come from Ghana.
Major imports were made from Ghana (75.99% of deliveries in monetary terms), Russia (20.46%), and Georgia (3.1%).
Ukraine exports very little manganese ore but its one of the worlds largest producers of manganese alloys, word out of the Ukraine is that Privat has closed Zaporozhye but is operating Nikopol running. However, most believe that Nikopol will have to close very soon. Privat’s two manganese smelters have a combined capacity of 1.578-million mtpy of high-carbon ferromanganese and silicomanganese and a small amount of refined manganese.

Privat shuts Zaporozhye ferro-alloys plant, keeps Nikopol running
Privat Group, which owns the two biggest ferro-alloy producers in Ukraine, has closed its Zaporozhye site to ensure the safety of its workers, but is still operating its Nikopol plant, trade sources said in the week to Thursday March 3.
Privat has been transporting output from Nikopol on trucks to its longstanding customers in Europe, although there are some road restrictions, sources said. Sea shipments have been suspended from Ukraine.


The price of manganese alloys have gone up 40% in Europe.

A great time to be a manganese alloy producer.
This will have little affect on the manganese ore prices. Since Ukraine isn't producing then there is less manganese ore required to produce Mn alloys.
BUT Mn alloys will go through the roof.

European manganese alloys prices surge on short-covering activity
European manganese alloy prices jumped in the week to Friday March 4, amid chaotic trading that saw the silico-manganese increase by about 40% to reach its highest level since Fastmarkets started assessing the market in October 1986.
Global demand for manganese alloys surged, with steelmakers in countries such as Turkey and India looking to boost long and flat steel output to fill the gaps.
