The following appeared in MIN's annual report (pg29). I'm not sure if there are any restrictions that would prevent E25 from using these jumbo road train's but if they can reduce the cost of port haulage by 50% that would be a very useful saving. In the year to June 2022 E25 spent $11.769m on Haulage so if there was a 50% saving possible, this is a multi-million dollar gain. This gain would get larger if production was at nameplate.
Additionally MIN continues to progress work around electrifying and automating the road train fleet that MIN use. These developments would appear to provide ESG and potentially cost benefits.
