Its still incredibly ugly Mn prices chart, but is manganese starting to turn and be pulled up by steel demand?
End of December 2023 was the first time in nearly a year that an interpreted Mn month end price was higher than the previous month end.
The iron ore price is back up above 2016 to 2020 levels with only the 2021 spike remaining materially higher point. While prices can increase on supply decreases or demand increases, the iron ore increase appears more likely to be a demand increase.
