Another Blockbuster news. Redwood Materials, founded by ex-Tesla co-founder, to not just recycle batteries, but develop 100 GWh/year by 2025, using raw material at start, then start recycling later on (makes sense).
That metal refining of Nickel in Europe sounds like Prince (ex-Eramet plant).
Now, as per below, they are taking metals from all over the world. Two questions:
1) why Australia doesn't force these monkeys (Tesla, LG, whoever) to install Battery production in AUSTRALIA like Indonesia have done?
2) In below map, it is clean they are sourcing metals for NMC batteries, but Manganese is not shown. Are they going to get it form Manganese X and they can not advise it yet....?? 100 GWh/year = 40,000 tn/y of HPMSM (?)... 500 GWh/year = 200,000 tn/y of HPMSM..... Manganese X can't deliver that much.
3) Time to start discussions with Prince, perhaps?
