That's true for other battery materials however manganese makes up a fraction of the cost of cobalt. A 100% increase in the price of high purity manganese would represent a couple % change in the overall battery price whereas a doubling in lithium , Nickel or cobalt would have a massive effect on margins. I do agree that as prices climb producers will increase production to meet the demand but I think these prices would still be economic for EV producers.
