I bet they aren't considering Manganese's true supply constraints due to the large amounts of it found it South Africa and some other low tier mining regions. South Africa possessing large amounts of manganese does not equate to them being able to reliably and cost effectively ship it to firms demanding the manganese for high cost battery manufacturing plants. In my opinion they are missing some of the nuance involved in these supply chains. it's not just a question of how much of the resources are available but also how much of them are available in long-term reliable jurisdictions. Firm's processing Manganese Ore and High purity manganese will have different standards for what is acceptable in terms of supply chain risks.
