In the case of claiming biblical prophecies this involves effectively retrofitting information (the equivalent to the holes in the walls) to marry with the claimed prophecies (the equivalent of the conveniently placed targets).

For future events if the targets are drawn in the wrong places, there is no lasting problem as they are just painted over and redrawn elsewhere in the hope that one day they will be drawn in the right place. The prophecies that are supposed to follow 1914 are example of the "paint over and redraw" technique.
