This is a great post for the colourful description of short sellers I hope you do well just for that.
It's not personal though, just business - if someone wants to borrow my stock and pay me interest I am always keen. I'd like to know why they think it's a short and if they're onto it then I'll change my mind.
When did politics and investing become a war-zone, when did all the adults leave the conversation?
I think this is a feature not a bug.
PTM are in a similar boat to MFG but I suspect they're taking down their shorts in the AI bump to manage their risk, your perspective on their relative positioning should inform your view of the stock.
In my view (& this can only be a guess) the first 6 months of 2023 were a bear market rally and for the poor fund managers and ETFs the beatings will continue until morale improves.
