My "theory" is that the money for the 30% wanted for Browse (not 40%) is more than the money being offered.
OF COURSE!
KAR is not in a great bargaining position though as they keenly need the cash - check the balance sheet.
The fall back position is still alive and KAR may be keen to expose the shorters (as we are), but I am unsure how.
The only way is a decent asset sale or the fall back.
TheGoodOil seems to know more than me on this.....
