One other thing to consider while we wait (and I agree that it is too early to make any calls about Barnhart)..This debt quagmire in Europe did not prevent CNOOC spending up on Nexen the other day and Sinopec just threw $1.5 b at Talisman for its north sea assets.

What this tells us is that Chinese state owned oilers don't paricularly care about Europe and are capitalizing on the lower oil prices and depressed markets to buy up assets..so anyone thinking this market will kybosh a decision on Mungi is probably missing the bigger picture. China is looking over a 50 year horizon and toward its energy security needs and has every reason to lock up reserves now rather than buy more US bonds. With any luck it will be CNPC's turn to announce something in Qld soon.
