the other factor is the poor tv potential of squash. ever watched a game on the tellie? if you cant generate the commercial $ then you are pushing it uphill to become something major. i used to play alos but same thing here, courts closing down everywhere and gradually all my hitting partners giving it away. as for the sociability of pennants, well....we just arent as sociable as we used to be, nowadays youd probably have eight people sitting around a table all deeply embroiled in an iphone conversation.
