True DEVO! While hybrids do consume lithium, they use significantly less compared to fully electric vehicles (BEVs). Additionally, hybrids are the legacy automakers’ strategy to compete with established EV manufacturers and eventually catch up. Another reason they are making Hybrids is because its the only way they can stay below any future more stringent CO2 emissions standards. Either way even with hybrids more and more Lithium will be needed from here on.
