There is an Australian group who do publish data about causes of fires involving EVs.

I’ve been asking our friend the devious one to tell us how many fires involving EVs have occurred in Australia. For some reason they are not giving those figures … they are reasonably readily available … perhaps it’s because they don’t want to admit to the limited number which are actually a result of battery issues or perhaps the inconvenience that the total number only just requires the use of some fingers on a second hand to count.
