    Ampol is missing the target deliberately IMO, most people live in Urban areas where;
    (1) there are already more than enough places to charge your car.
    (2) most people in Australia that live in these areas rarely use Fast Chargers as it its easier and cheaper to charge at home overnight for their daily commute.
    (3) those needing fast charging are usually out in rural areas or on long trips during vacations. Ampol is simply prioritizing these fast chargers to service areas that are more likely to utilise said chargers, therefore using funds set aside for charging in a more sustainable and economical manner.
    (4) Uptake of EV's is still in it's infancy here and so from time to time businesses have to be dynamic and be ready to adjust according to the statistical movements in uptake and how EV owners utilise charging infrastructure. No country built Petrol Stations and bitumen roads all over the country 100 years ago overnight they started in urban areas where demand is high- a commercial decision.
    Your link is simply a 1 point graph in the EV environment and fails to include any other information to support the argument. Just because I could link at least 10 doomsayers links that argue we will run out of oil or our petrol price will go to $10 a litre in 10 years with a simple google search doesn't mean they are right.
