Yep, real cars do depreciate more than your pedal cart. But subject to when bought, how bought and how used, maybe the real question is not depreciation rate but rather future “change over” cost. If the next car they buy is also lower in purchase price due to changing dynamics in cost of these cars, is it any different to a petrol car depreciation where the next model tends to be more expensive than the one being traded out of was?
