I wasn't suggesting that Norway was planning on stopping production of O&G. I doubt very much that is going to happen until it is no longer economic to do so.

The post I was responding to suggested that Norway was "greenwashing".

My view is simply that they are making a rational economic decision using EVs vs ICEs: they are cheaper to run given the low price and plentiful supply of electricity.

Plus the less O&G they use themselves, the more they have available to sell. admittedly there is only about 4m of them, but it all counts. ;-)

I work with Norwegians every day, they are not misty eyed greenies.
