As much as I would like SSBs to be in mass production I have not seen any evidence that it is yet from a credible source. Certainly there are any number of clickbait articles and videos over the past several years that claim that they are but so far they are just hot air.
The big question of course when they do finally make it to production will be their cost per kWh and how quickly will that cost drop to become competitive with current chemistries. Secondary questions will be how well protected are the patents for the SSB and will the developer choose to licence the tech or go it alone, will there be competing chemistries with their own pros and cons and the physical specs, service life, temperature tolerance, RTE, C rating, etc.
One thing is for certain, its going to be an exciting time to be in the Lithium and EV space (yes you can forget about sodium and other types for the moment because the first SSBs will use Lithium) when SSBs do reach economical mass production.
