You're probably right to some degree, H, but there will come a time in the not-too-distant future when the price of oil will rise to circa $150 per barrel and rarely dip below that as OPEC tries to make up for diminishing sales as the transport revolution progresses at lightning speed (I draw your attention to the time warp acceleration of just the last 5 years). My point being that we no longer live in the slow lane of the 1950's - thanks to mobile phones, computer power and application and robotics. Even the new vehicles (EV's) accelerate a lot faster (a metaphor for pace). Enthusiasts will always keep a few ICE vehicles on the road to fulfil the human emotion of nostalgia - and they will come to be known as the Cubans , but that will be a rich man's weekend hobby, given the outrageous running costs. Give it another decade at most and no one will replace their ICE with a replacement ICE - purely based on affordability. Notwithstanding the Cuban element.
