Not sure why they feel the need to yell it from the rooftops and trying to spin/sell/convince everyone else why it's better.

I'm pretty sure it's just the norm these days in politics, social media, online forums. Everyone is yelling about everything. I like a good yell myself from time to time, but I respect a strong argument with a good grounding in facts, and a common basis for determining what the facts are, before you say anything, in whatever tone of voice you say it.

On Japanese cars, I never owned any other make, although I had a Honda which was actually made in Thailand, and after that a Suzuki which was made in Indonesia, so it's become a bit greyer in the past few years. I just read that Toyota has multiple factories in China, where they make Camry, RAV4, Yaris, Corolla etc., although I don't know if they are for the Chinese market or if they export them.
