I'm all for EVs. The faster the uptake, the more RnD will be put into making them better. All manufacturers will be looking for a competitive edge and extending range/efficiency is at the top of that list. Cost aside, range is probably the only hurdle left to overcome before an EV becomes a no-brainer in all situations.
Unfortunately for many Australians, EVs don't tick enough of the boxes that are important to us. The few EVs we have access to are expensive. The best options at this stage seem to be sedans and small hatchbacks, which isn't ideal considering our love for utes and SUVs.
But the tide is definitely turning, and we'll get there eventually.
