Remember, when talking about getting an EV via novated lease, and parking off street in a garage overnight (add solar to that if you can), EVs are CLEAR winners from a cost perspective (disregarding the cost of the house and solar system).
So the "myths" mentioned above are obviously nothing more than myths in this instance.
But MANY do not get cars via novated lease, and have to park them out on the street overnight, so those same "myths" are absolute fact for those living in that situation.
