And you get angry at people being in an echo chamber then refuse to read an article that may challenge your views... You do know what an echo chamber is?
Have a quick look on X at an account called leRaffl. Guy tracks dozens upon dozens of countries around the world.
Every one of these countries with meaningful numbers of vehicles, every single one of them is transitioning to full EV, and goes through the same shift, ICE, then hybrid, then PHEV, then full EV. Massive uptake, look at how quickly Indo is transitioning!
These days, batteries outlast the bodies, you can get a brand new EV for $30K AUD, upkeep is 1/3 or lower the cost of the car, and charging can be bloody fast (5 min charging by BYD on the way).
There really isn't any real reason to not get an EV these days.
All cars depreciate, and you're saying they're a bad investment.. A car ain't an investment, and for $30K new, who cares if it loses half its price in 5-10 years.
Sure, in the past, EVs weren't as good as ICE, but these days, that argument doesn't exist...
And you'll screech about runaway thermal, but LFP is bloody safe and doesn't have the same issues as old NMC.
But really, I think you know most of this. Just confused as to why you're so mad about EVs? Did you get hit by a Leaf driver? You've invested heavily in Woodside? Really strange way to spend so much time on a lithium miners page...
