We've been subjected to, all the way down from $5+, misinformation from the clueless that incorrectly assumed EVs are simpler and therefore more reliable.
Nothing is further from the truth, as real-wolrd use is starting to indicate.
And strange that most of these clueless preachers don't actually own a BEV themselves of course... ask them why.

And here is the problem.
Instead of having hundreds of individual moving parts that can be swapped out and replaced by any competent mechanic, EVs having thousands of cells making up the non-serviceable battery pack. Apart of that system is the complex electronics to manage the battery condition and prevent catastrophic thermal runaway during normal use. Rupture the lithium-ion battery pack in a crash, and it's all over regardless.
EVs are just as complex, just a different sort of complex.
