No, I understand what you are saying.
But people are not cycling through new cars every 2-3 years out of the kindness of their heart to prop up the used car market and supply cars to those who cannot afford to buy new.
They are doing it cause they are mindless consumers who want the newest, shiniest toy in the driveway.
Which, from a carbon emissions perspective, is terrible.
