I've never really been a fan of the classic Aussie V8 muscle car. I much prefer the high pitched rev of a 911 or the styling of a Jag.
Proper sports cars. Although to each their own.

You and I are in complete alignment over our views of those filthy, raised, big tyre, diesels with obnoxious exhausts.
Plenty near where I live too and they are just ridiculous.

As for noise. As a pedestrian, honestly, there is no difference between an EV and a normal, modern, efficient, unmodified ICE in normal, suburban circumstances.
All you can hear is tyre noise above anything else.
In fact, I was waiting to cross the road the other day and could hear a car coming round the corner. I assumed it was an EV because I could only hear the tyres. It turned out to be bog standard base model petrol VW Golf.
