Again, how is this good for the environment?
When you consider manufacturing an EV generates more CO2 emissions than it's ICE counterpart, AND it gets written off sooner.
And if insurance companies are choosing to write off a vehicle, instead of just repairing what needs to be repaired, then that puts upwards pressure on all their insurance premiums.
Hopefully insurance companies will be smart enough to insure EVs for "market value" only.
As we know, with the terrible depreciation, that will save them a lot of money.
