I have always thought that quarterly reports should almost be linked to market cap...i know it wont be universally popular or fix everything.
But a company with a market cap of $35m should have to report every quarter regardless of its financial operating performance. Once its market cap is at a much higher level with far more eyes on the stock - say its included in the ASX 200 - then that requirement can be dropped if needed.
But at this nanocap level, with no brokerage coverage and to an extent, quite limited newsflow with limited access to management its very difficult to see how this microcap is tracking. And that can lead to wild rumourtage and gyrations in the share price due to an uninformed market .
