Ben, most of the high-profit drugs been spruiked by big pharma with their selective and manipulated data produced by biased medical research bought and paid for by the very companies who profit from the findings. It's like the banks paying ratings agencies to give AAA investment ratings on their dodgy asset-backed securities.
And that's the point of the article. Without independent research, where funding is unrelated to findings, science is for sale.
