unnecessary to prove who spoke or wrote down what is true
what is true & provable is heaven and hell are words to express happiness and unhappiness; that the difference between heaven and hell lies in our state of mind
for example, if heaven is a physical location, as depicted in children's religious books, do you believe it is a place of unhappiness?
do you believe the hell of the children's religious books is a place of happiness?
heaven & hell refer to states of happiness & unhappiness
the problem for many is what they take to be heaven can quickly turn to into hell
they believe they are "content" even though their contentment is not purely mind dependent but, instead, dependent on external & material things, such as having a large bank account & taking trips in their old age on luxury ocean liners
this is not true contentment
when it is reported Buddha said: "contentment the greatest wealth" he was not referring to a contentment dependent on great material wealth
