If you refer to the Uranium Bill consultation response, you will notice the 3 examples referenced refer to Uranium and Thorium are disposed off as mine waste, and all would have Kvanefjeld would breach all the respective uranium ppm.I see they were trying to make the argument, that it is arbitrary the restrictions but looks like a last minute response and fell short. i.e. should have used some more international or nordic examples.
